Flexibility; it's something we pride ourselves on. It seems to happen so often that you see a home in a magazine or on a website and think to yourself "Oh, I do love that style, but it just looks too big for me" or "I wouldn't put the bedroom there, I'd move it over to the other side of the house." Well, we want you to know that when you see a Timberpeg home in a magazine or on a website, you really can make those changes.

Our award winning design department can work for you, or with your architect to make it just right for you. To illustrate our flexibility we've taken four homes which have been featured in the past, and re-worked the plans to meet the needs of a different client. See the before and after floor plans - and read more		Case #1 : A cute cottage...but "a little large for us" The Harvest Hollow When a young professional couple came to us with an eye for this cute cottage originally built in Massachusetts, they expressed some concern that the home, as designed for the original client, was a little too large with too much unnecessary space. While the original home was designed for an artist couple in need of a large open studio space, the new clients (a medical doctor and an environmental consultant) did not have the same needs. So we re-designed the house in a more compact size.

See the before and after floor plans - and read more		Case #2 : Love the look... but "need more bedrooms" The Tuscan Tableau A recently retired couple saw this home in a magazine and contacted us one day to inquire about this home and ask to see the floor plans. They were not thrilled to find that the home had been originally designed for homeowners who only wanted one bedroom. This newly retired couple had young grandchildren who they hoped would be visiting often and wanted to make sure there was enough space for them to stay. So we redesigned the project to fit their needs. The home went from one bedroom to three.

See the before and after floor plans - and read more		Case #3 :Beautiful... but "don't want cathedral ceilings" The Vineyard View Mike and Sandra Bosworth first saw photos of this home on our Spring 2009 Open Home postcard. They phoned us up to ask for the floor plans and were taken aback when they saw the home was very large with an expansive cathedral ceiling in the great room. With two young children and a mother-in-law visiting often, they decided the cathedral space would be better off as another bedroom to serve visiting guests. We made the change and also helped to make the overall square footage a bit more reasonable for the family of four. The home went from 2966 of square footage to 2784.

See the before and after floor plans - and read more		Case #4 :Charming... but "we need a vacation home" The Kingdom Cottage Seattle couple Doug and Toni saw this home in one of our newsletters and thought it would make a great vacation home for them on a piece of land they had purchased in the Cascades. When they contacted us to ask for the floor plans, they saw some things they thought would need changing for their vacation home needs. They figured since it was going to be a vacation home that a two car garage wasn't necessary, so they turned one of the garage bays into extra living space. They also added a dormer in the master bedroom and extra windows to allow for more mountain views.
