"Best in Show" and "Gold Medal" - Commercial
| |
This workshop is a woodworker's dream. It sits next to an unaltered eighteenth century house in New Jersey, and was designed to match the historic homestead.
What appears to be a traditional workplace or barn from the outside is dramatically different on the inside, with a Douglas fir mortise and tenon frame, and two thirty foot long custom scissors trusses.

The loft was designed to carry very heavy loads, so has a composite Douglas fir beam with walnut-faced wedges.
The shop is totally equipped with workbenches and full equipment for making furniture, cabinets, and model airplanes and boats.
The western spruce wall and ceiling sheathing, plus hardwood floor complete this woodworker's ideal shop - one that even Norm Abrams would admire.
