Autumn: A Busy Time for Home Shows

Fall can be one of the busiest times in the homebuilding industry. For existing projects, getting buildings enclosed and shielded against the elements before winter is a pressing concern. What really makes the season busy, however, is all the preparation work for houses to be built next year. If you’re planning on constructing a home in 2016, then now is a great time for getting ideas and drafting floor plans. In recognition of this fact, we’re attending five home shows across the country over the next five weeks.

Of course, if you want to get started straight away with designing and building a timber frame home of your own, we encourage you to contact us directly or talk with your local independent representative. However, if you would like to learn about timber frame homes in the more casual setting of a home show, then here are the shows we will be attending over the next few weeks.

If you live in the Mountain west, then consider heading to the Log and Timber Home show this weekend in Denver. The show begins today, Friday 1-7pm and continues through the weekend, Saturday 10am-6pm, and Sunday 11am-4pm. Click here for show details. If you instead find yourself in the Midwest, then perhaps you’ll find your way to the Log and Timber Home Show in Chicago the following weekend. This show will run Friday, October 9th from 12-8pm and Saturday, October 10th from 10am-6pm. Click here for show details.

Timberpeg IR, Les Watkins (second from the right), will be present to answer questions at the Denver show on Friday and Regional Manager Austin Ward will be there the remainder of the weekend.

While two home shows might be enough for any other month, we’ve got another two in store for later in October. For all you New Englanders, we will be attending the Log and Timber Home show in West Springfield, Massachusetts from October 16th-18th. Then, the following weekend, anyone near our nation’s capital is welcome to join us at the Log and Timber Home Show in Chantilly, VA from October 23rd-25th. Both of these shows have Friday hours of 1-7pm, Saturdays 10am-6pm and Sunday 11am-4pm.

While there is one more weekend left in October, it seems we needed a breather and took Halloween weekend off for some trick-or-treating. The first full week of November, however, will find us back at the Log and Timber Home Show in Asheville, NC. Here you can meet Architect and Timberpeg Independent Representative Ken Wertheim, whose work we have featured several times on the blog.

If one of these shows works for you, we look forward to seeing you there. We keep scheduling new shows all the time, and you can check our show listings here. Or, feel free to contact us anytime to help answer any questions you have.
