Built on a small parcel of land that was purchased by the homeowner's great-grandfather in 1903, the location of this home held great memories for family and friends. Unfortunately, the original cottage that existed on the site was not able to be renovated to meet the family's needs. The homeowners wanted a home that "evoked lake lodges of the past" and that was designed for entertaining and lots of overnight guests. It was important that it had open spaces and provided easy access to the water. The homeowners salvaged a beautiful diamond-shaped stained glass window from the original cottage and incorporated it into the great room.
