Sierra Nevada Post & Beam is owned and operated by Martin Borges. Martin lived at Lake Tahoe in the early 70s and then moved north to work in Alaska. A lifelong interest and appreciation for heavy timber construction was developed into a business when he started working with customers to fulfill their dreams of owning a timber frame home.
In 1996, Marty became the first independent Representative for Timberpegยฎ in Alaska. He returned to Northern Nevada in 2002 and has worked on Timberpeg projects both large and small in many western states since that time. Sierra Nevada Poset & Beam now represents Timberpeg in Nevada and Alaska.
